Why does everyone hate Hillary Clinton?

I'm Canadian so I'm not really paying huge attention to all the American politics stuff, it's nice that a woman is running but being a female alone doesn't mean you're going to be a good president obviously. I was just wondering why so many people dislike her! (My political views are Liberal by the way, which is kind of like the Democrat party but in Canada)

She's a selfish hypocrite that stands for everything wrong and only seeks personal gain. She'll be even worse than Obama

Because many American women have unacknowledged internalized misogyny that causes them to dislike rather than support successful and unapologetic women.

I'm not saying that people don't have legitimate criticisms of her, but they seem to certainly forgive shortcomings in men politicians at a rate that is much higher than for Clinton. I mean, people were calling Trump a "good businessman" (FFS!) on that other thread. Too many women really are jealous and terrible toward each other, and it's shameful.

Btw, you can see some of this subtle misogyny by the fact that we are constantly referring to her as "Hilary" on here. I don't see people talking about "Barack," "Bill," "George," etc.

Feel free to not prefer Clinton, but do it based on facts (not propaganda), do at the same standards as you would for a male politician, and do it with indifferent respect (i.e., don't call our Secretary of State a "b***h).

I have no problem with a woman running, I don't like participating in any type of slander, but I still don't agree with Hillary running. It is purely based on her performance in other political positions. Just a little research on her will give you information on her shortcomings that really influence my decision.

Plus she's racist. She has done nothing for the POC population living in the U.S. She claims to be a feminist, but a true feminist doesn't overlook population groups just because they aren't white, cisgender and straight
