What are some great careers for single parents?

I have an 8 year old. I'm a single a parent. I'm 25 years old. I'm currently doing security for a private company. I want to do something more stable. I'm so tired of having to depend on a baby sitter for my child during after school hours. And plus my work hours are not during school hours. What are some great careers where I can be a full time mom and make decent pay?
