Yes, I think all types of birth control should be totally available free of charge to anyone who needs it. (Although still I think there may be better options for teenagers than an IUD) This includes teenagers who chose not to inform their parents.

That's only part of the solution though. Education is the second half. This article mentioned that, "Teenage births may be down, but unplanned births have simply moved up the age scale…and having a baby before finishing college can be just as risky to a woman’s future as having one while in high school".

I'd like to see in order for a young woman to be eligible for the program a mandatory (free) education course be in place. Along with yearly education to make sure they understand that they will need secondary protection from STI's and what their choices are once they transition off the long term birth control. Even if they took sex ed in high school technology and options can change… As an example I work in a non medical field that deals with birth control options and wasn't aware of the Skyla IUD option until I was educated on it in a Glow discussion last week.

Of course it should. Now Colorado is fighting to not fund it further. Cory Gardner is an axe wound. I never noticed such problems until he got elected. Maybe I've just been lucky... even for me it's been hard to find someone to do the birth control I want who is covered by my insurance and who doesn't argue with me about what I need. Colorado is an oddly conservative state when it comes to women's reproductive needs

In aus you can give it to underage with parental consent if they are under 16 or if they are over they don't need consent I think it's a great idea
