"Elective" c-section... need advice

n need of some advice. My baby boy has been measuring big my whole pregnancy and hubby has a family history of large babies. At 39 weeks baby was already measuring 9lbs 6oz with a 13cm head (I am fully aware that ultrasounds can be off by over 1lb in either direction). Baby is still high with no signs of dropping and am now almost 40 weeks. My doctor won't induce as it posses higher risk for emergency c-section related to his size. He did however offer me an elective c-section... we talked about pros and cons for over 45 mins however it's still my decision. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Advice?
