C section advice?

I'm having a scheduled c section, and I was just wondering if there was any advice from moms who have had c sections. I'm nervous about it, and I am looking for some POSITIVE advice and tips. Thank you! 😊

Loved my c section. The spinal block hurts but its the only bad thing about the surgery. Recovery was great for me. Didn't even need to get the pain meds they prescribed me filled cause the pain wasn't that bad. I was healed at 2 1/2 weeks post partum. I'm currently 4 weeks post partum and feel great. Its not that badm you can do it! Good luck!! 😊😊

It's not bad! I had one with my son 2 1/2 yrs ago and will have another in November (22weeks now). Recovery is a but rough (coughing, sneezing). Best advice was to walk as soon as possible and rub the scar as soon as you can tolerate. It helps reduce scar tissue.

I had one with my son. Just be careful with strenuous activities like stairs, walking around to much to soon, exercising, sex ect. Keep the activities to a minimum for a few weeks. Even walking around the grocery store or Target.  Get one of those motorized  carts if you do go to the store. I had stairs in my house when I had my c-section so I just kept everything downstairs with me and only when up when I had to, to go to bed and shower. Also, keep the incision dry. Water and moisture can get in and give you a yeast infection. That happened to me! But overall, it was fine. Healed pretty quick, was able to go home after I could fart at the hospital. They do that to make sure everything is still flowing.  How this helps!!

Have support lined up for you in the hospital and for the first two weeks you're at home!!! Your partner or a friend will need to do the diaper changes in the hospital and i had my mom stay with me and help with meals baths and housework for the first couple weeks

I had one in November 2013, it wasn't scheduled but it wasn't too bad, my epi was wearing off so I felt the stitches and they had to put more meds into me. I got up and walked the next morning and it was rough but got easier each time. The first month after birth was a total blur because I had to take pain meds and they made me fall asleep(probably too strong now that I think back on it but I was in pain at the time so I didn't notice)

Just in recovery from mine. The spinal didn't really hurt and recovery is painful has gone away exponentially (@2wks) but very manageable. The only thing I've had a hard time with is retraining my body to pee and poo consistently and without pain. Using your muscles afterwards can be tricky. I would do a c-section again. No work to deliver and manageable pain to recover from.

It's quick and pain wise no pain you just feel pressure it kinda feels weird and hurts just a little nothing serious but after words the walking for the first time is painful but after that you'll start to get used to it but having my baby here made me pay no mind to it :)
