Where my low platelet count people at??

Well... I go to the blood doc every week and my count keeps dropping.  I'm at a 72.  Officially past the point of epidural.  I know woman have done this for thousands of years, but deep inside I'm scared shitless to do this naturally.  Anyone else with me or am I flying solo?

I just read Ina May gaskins book Guide to Childbirth.  If was amazing and I would highly recommend it.  It may help you with your nerves.

Any update? My count went down to 84. My OB is trying to see whether the anesthesiologist would be willing to give me the epidural if I have a platelet transfusion.

🙋🏻 I'm with you. But I don't have an option for a vaginal birth. This means I have to be put under general anesthesia if my counts don't rise in time to deliver. I won't even be conscious for my baby's birth. I know it's scary but you can do it! It will be worth it so see your baby come into the world! You can get through it and it will be amazing!
