Post baby care for mom ?

So after the baby's here what am I gonna need for me ? I know I will need pads and I've been told tucks help but I wanna hear from the mamas who have done this what works and what doesn't ? Any little tips you have will be appreciated ! I'm going shopping the weekend for me !

Girdles (get multiple sizes due to waist shrinkage) 
Perineal ice pads (soothes your regions post birth Amazon)
Numbing spray (additional soothing and irritation relief - dermoplast or earth baby mama angel- target or Amazon)
Sitz bath (for relief -Amazon)
Epsom salt (for Sitz bath or reg bath)
Some type of aromatherapy candle or bath ball (for the moments you can squeeze in a long enough bath/shower alone to relax yourself)
A favorite treat or activity (crossword, sudoku, dessert, food, etc.) to have on hand if you have a second to yourself so that you don't go stir crazy and you can feel like yourself instead of a baby caring zombie.
A sleep mask if napping during the day is an issue (was for me) the blackout effect will help when trying to catch Zzz's with baby. 
Lastly someone on standby that you truly trust to watch baby 2-4 weeks after birth so that you can have a moment outside of the house with your SO/yourself/or friends

In addition to all of the things mentioned by other mamas, I also grabbed a post partum girdle thing for my belly after the kids born. I have yet to try mine out, but I've heard really great things about them.

My hospital sent me home with pads and mesh panties and Tucks and an ice pack.

I haven't had my baby yet. But my SIL gave me some advice. She said the medicated tucks pads with witch hazel. But I'm making some medicated pads. They have witch hazel and aloe Vera and I'm freezing them. She said nursing pads. She used the lanisoh ones. And nursing bras. And anything else to make you more comfortable. I've heard of women putting ice water in water bottles and spraying them on their lady parts while they pee to help with the pain. And laxatives to make it easier and less painful to poop.

This was a great blog from a mom I found. I bought almost everything she suggested and I feel ready. This is my second baby and after reading what she suggested it made perfect sense! Also, she shared all the Amazon links so it was easy to just add it to the cart. Good luck!

Get yourself an ice pack for down there, if you have swelling and/or stitches. Ask for one in the hospital after you deliver, but don't take it home unless they can give you disposable covers. Amazing.

Also, lots of fruits and veggies to help you with digestion. Believe me, you want everything to run smooth.

Thick pads, mesh panties..the hospital provided me with these things. It depends on the kind of birth you have  too. I'm 11 days post c section and just really stopped bleeding. Your body will dispose of clots from day 1 and you will bleed every time you breastfeed. The nurses will be able to help you a lot.
