Fertility & Formaldehyde

I am an aspiring funeral director/embalmer. I have worked at a funeral home for about a year and a half now and for some reason i just learned that the chemicals I am exposed too, could cause genetic defects and fertility problems. These warnings are stated on the safety data sheets but there isn't any research to prove defects...what do you all think about me being exposed to formaldehyde and wanting to conceive in the next couple of months? I'm extremely worried and need some advice or tests I could get done to make sure everything is okay
