I want to get my tubes tied, I'm 22 and have one son. Would this be a crazy request for a doctor?

I have never really liked kids, I accidentally got pregnant in high school I grew up pro-life & kept my baby(by the way we used a condom but it broke and plan B failed), but before this I always said I didn't want any kids. my son is the only kid I like, he's actually the only kid I have patience for, If I could do it all over, I wouldn't change a thing as I love my son to death. I am married and have discussed this with my husband, he supports my decision and wants a vasectomy too, we have stated that if we ever regret it we could always adopt as we both believe that blood is thicker than the water in the womb. I have talked to my insurance and they said they will cover all the costs as long as my doctor says yes, but all the people I talk to keep telling me I'm too young and I'm going to regret it, but I am a full time student and will probably be one for the next 10 years BC is only successful as long as you use it right and most people don't, if I was to accidentally get pregnant my beliefs wouldn't allow me to abort or give the baby up, meaning if I got pregnant I would have to drop out of college. i also think it's kind of fucked up to have a baby just to keep my son company, as it's a human life that requires lots of care & attention, not to mention money which I don't really have. Please give me your insight.
