Your thoughts?

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 6 months ago. My husband and I have been trying TTC for about a year now. I am overweight and a smoker. (I know, I know) I used to have such regular periods till I got put on the depo shot as a teenager and gained 100lbs. Now I'm very irregular, very. My pcp put me on Metformin. I have been taking it for about 5 months, however from the time I start taking it till about 1 month after I stop I bleed, constantly. I finally couldn't stand it anymore so I went back to the doc and she gave me provera to stop it. Has this happened to anyone else? Any thought?

I can't help with the bleeding but what milligram of Metformin are you on? I am on 2000 daily and my doctor said with pcos and TTC that is the milligram a women should be on, now I am not saying a lower dose won't help. I was normal too until I was put on Depo when I was a teenager and now I am very irregular and have been TTC for almost 10 years. Have you had your Thyroid checked?
