Membrane strip?

Question

Did it work for you? How soon after getting stripped did you go into labor? Just curious if I should have them do it at my next couple appointments. Will be 38 weeks this week.

Didn't do anything for me at 40 weeks

I had it done at 40+3 and it did not take... I was 60% effaced and dilated to a 3... They offered to do it again and I declined... I wouldn't really say that it hurt but the pressure did take my breath away... My midwife told me that it usually doesn't work for first time moms (not sure how accurate that is) I think it all just depends on your body if it'll work or not. I'm also getting induced on Thursday so my body just really wasn't ready to go into labor.
