England Car Smoking Ban

Now the government have enforced a new law to England about no smoking in cars with people under the age of 18.

My thoughts on this is that it is ridiculous. In England you can

1) smoke at 16

2) drive at 17

So to have it be a law that no one can smoke in a car under the age of 18 is stupid.

I AGREE HOWEVER that people shouldn't smoke in cars with people younger than 15 inside the vehicle.

Next is how can a policeman tell the difference between 16 and 18 or any age for that matter if a car is going past at whatever speed they can't tell how old the person is and if someone's smoking at all.

What age do you think they should lower it down to or if they should at all? and what are your thoughts on the new law in England - whatever country you're from
