Contractions or something else?

Today I've been getting slight pain in my stomach accompanied by a tightening but with some of the pain my stomach isn't tight and the baby is also moving too. My question is do you think this is labor starting or just gas cramps? I feel silly going to the hospital for over thinking and being sent home 😔

My dr keeps telling me if you think you should go in, go in. The worst they will do is send you home and there is nothing wrong with that.  She also gave me good advice with knowing for sure when to go and it's the 511 rule.  Contractions 5 mins apart, lasting 1 minute for 1 hour.  If you get to where you can't breathe through them go ahead and go!  Good luck. I'm in the same boat, I'm 35+4 weeks and have had noticeable contractions for the last week. Similar to how you've describe yours.  Mine have also felt like menstural cramps in my back and lower pelvic area along with the stomach tightness. My husband wanted to go in last night and I didn't want to be sent home, I think it's a woman's pride thing or something haha.

It sounds like Braxton Hicks contractions. I would drink some water, relax (if you can), and wait and see if they are evenly spaced apart and getting closer and closer to one another.
