what should i do?

So i had my first appt with my fertility specialist today. I thought i was basically going in to tell him that my husband and i were ready to start iui next cycle. BUT after reading my charts he quickly shut that down! he says that he doesn't think i should start iui or even injectables just yet. He wants me to take clomid and come in to be monitored at the office , then he'll tell my husband and I when to BD if everything looks good!

OK that's cool and all but I've taken clomid before for 3 cycles, i did ovulate (i was ovulating on my own before clomid) but it still didn't help me to get pregnant! i want to believe he knows what's best because he's the doc, but it's going to cost me almost the same as the IUI procedure just for them to monitor me on freakin clomid. I don't have the money to start the IUI procedure if this route he wants us to take doesn't work , i only have enough money saved for 1 cycle..what should i do?

*hubby's sperm is good, my HSG came back good , everything looks good , we we're diagnosed with unexplained infertility*
