My fiancé and I only want us 2 in the room during the birth. then the next morning we'll allow visitors. Is it wrong to not want other people there? A baby's firsts should be spent with the people thst created them.

I only had my husband in there... and even though I am glad it was only him as it is a very precious time to bond.... I wish I had someone in there to take pictures. We didn't get half as many as I would have liked because he was busy living the experience (as he should have been)... would have been nice to have a family member or friend to take a few pixs.

Heck, I'm not allowing visitors in the hospital lol they can see the baby when we are at home and settled. It all seems too chaotic. Maybe I'll change my mind but I say regardless, do what makes you the most comfortable and what you feel is best for your baby!

That's not selfish at all! It's important to be able for you and your fiancé to bond with your baby for a while before visitors start showing up. Plus, if you're breastfeeding that will take tons of work too. I plan on maybe letting my sister and dad come to the hospital for a while but that's probably it. I'm not going to tell anyone that it's baby time either when we are headed to the hospital. I plan on keeping things quiet with my mom and husband.

I'm due in 25 days and my husband is the only one allowed in the hospital. I'll take visitors once I'm home but I want my daughter to bond with me and her daddy before everyone trys to rush around n try to hold her!

You are not wrong at all!!!I had my So and my sister in the room with me. And my mom was in the waiting room. She dont do good with seeing blood lol And my dad came a hour later. I didn't have any other people at the hospital. When we got home is when family came to meet her.

Not at all. My mom and dad are always there, usually because they are the closest in proximity to the hospital when im on my way. When it's baby time, my so is the only face I want to see. As far as visitors go, none with the exception of grandparents or the baby's siblings. Everyone else can sit still until we get home.
