What to expect...1st IUI

I am scheduled for my first IUI later this month. I'm going for my 2nd follicle follow up Tuesday. Wondering what to expect after this follow up for the ladies who have gone through IUI. I'm so excited but so nervous. Help! 😁😆

My IUI was fairly easy. I took all my meds as directed. Inhad follicles that looked mature enough to proceed. I did my trigger shot the night before. My husband dropped off his specimen early. They only except them at our rei clinic  between like 7:30-8am. Then I went in later, they dont do another ultrasound before which I think is strange. You'd think they want to have one last check.    They had me hold the tube with the specimen in it in my hand to keep it warm. Then the nurse came in. I layed down. She had a tiny tube she inserted into my cervix. There was a tiny pinch and she squirts it in!  Then she had me stay laying down for 10 minutes and that was it. No cramping or anything. Then they gave me a paper of instructions saying what to do if you get your period or if you dont. Then the dreaded two week wait begins! Good luck! Baby dust to you!

Hi nena... all the best for your scan tomorrow... nothing to be nervous about.. your doc will basically scan your follies to measure and then check your  hormone levels and will tell you when to do the trigger shot... they will call you back in approx 36 hours after for the iui... the process is quick and for me not painful... my doc gave me a tip to keep my bladder full not busting at seams but full so that when he inserts the catheter it easily fits through...they don't scan you on the day of the iui..and i often wonder why but it's seems to be process by most clinic's....all the best love... the iui is easy part.... it's the two week wait after that drives me crazy:-)
