why are couples scared of multiples?

I'm a little confused here... I always loved the idea of twins. So when I meet childless couples ( like me) Not hoping for twins I don't get it. It is because they feel it's risky health wise? or just don't want it? I see it like this, all that pain after suffering, enduring ivf, the costs, the biological clock... and twins will complete my family nicely - all for the pain of one pregnancy, So I don't understand why people would consider fortis reduction. can someone shed some light?

I'm not sure of that either.... I have two uteruses and they have been inseminating both so I have a higher risk of a double pregnancy. I know the risks and understand how difficult it might be however I'm leaving it in gods hands. Hubby and I feel that if that's what's meant to be so be it! I was joking with the Doctor and  said  if I can handle 32 middle schoolers on a daily basis twins will be no problem lol! Haha

I think the idea of two infants can be scary and overwhelming for most 1st time parents. Having one can be intimidating so two at once  can me a little nerve-wracking. Its the chaos from one baby but with another. You have to soothe 2 crying hungry babies, hold two, love two when at times theres only one of you. Plus I think it will do a number on your body. So does one but two?! I still think its a blessing. Im having twins after ttc for over 2 years and after being told my best chance would be if I had IVF with a donor egg, but to each their own. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to feel just a preference. I think I would have chose one at a time but this will probably be my only time I have kids so I'm happy for twins. However, I have gotten nervous thinking about it but I know we'll manage. My in laws have twins and if definitely doesn't seem like a walk in the park however none the less one of the most rewarding, life changing events in life! 😊👶👶💓💓
