Do i ovulate if i only get my period every 3 months?

Question

Last time I got my period was July and I just got it yesterday so do I still ovulate if i only get it every 3 mos or so and did anyone else get pregnant with irregular periods?

When I got pregnant with my son. I was ovulating even 6-8 months. Got pregnant with him "not on purpose" and didn't even know until I was 15weeks..  but to get pregnant with my daughter I tried chastaberry to regulate my periods. And I got pregnant with her right away.

You'll still ovulate but your ovulation dates will vary. Sometimes it might be sooner in your cycle and sometimes it might be later.

My cycles were erratic. They'd be 28 days one month, 20 days another, then they hit long stretches of 45 days and 50 days. My daughter was conceived during one of those longer stretches, based off my last LMP I should've been 6-7 weeks according to my doctors office but when they did the transvaginal ultrasound the pregnancy was still so new it didn't even show on it yet. I'm now just shy of 17 weeks.

You might have ovulated around two weeks before your period comes. However you may not be having a period at all. Anovulatory cycles can produce breakthrough bleeding. It's the same sort of bleeding that occurs when you're on the pill. It's not a true period because ovulation didn't happen.

Getting a period doesn't mean you've ovulated though - some women might only ovulate some months of the year and still have periods
