Questions about a cerclag?

I was wondering if anyone has had a cerclag?  I have had 4 pregnancy losses and they said next time I will have a cerclag to keep the cervix closed. I had my baby at 21 weeks due to early labor caused by a short cervix. Did it work? How restricted were you on work/activities?  I know everyone is different but I was wondering about anyone a experience.

I had an abdominal cerclage put in at 10w they have a higher success rate than vaginal

Had mine put in at 12 weeks then dr wanted me to go off work right away but since I have a desk job he let me go back after taking 3 weeks off. I was told I would be done for sure at 20 weeks tho which is in 2 weeks but have to get it checked every 2 weeks and then a shot every week so I'm hoping with it being monitored well that I can stay and work a lil longer!

I've had two...refused it this time. Both times I had it placed at 14 weeks, worked full time, had sex etc. the first time I ended up in an induction at 39 weeks because there was no change in my cervix after removing the stitch and second time I went to 42 weeks so this time around I opted not to get it

I had a preventative cerclage placed this pregnancy at twelve weeks after a previous pregnancy loss due to incompetent cervix and preterm labor. I'm also taking weekly progesterone injections. I'm now 23 weeks and 4 days and luckily have had no problems now. No bed rest either! I had an emergency cerclage placed at 21weeks.. Cervix was funneling and only had 3mm of cervix left! 
Have been on bed rest since & will be til baby arrived! Also on pelvic restrictions (no sex, baths, or lifting) on progesterone suppositories..  currently 28 weeks, if everything goes as planned will have the stitch removed at 37 weeks!

Will be having the cerclage with the rest of my pregnancies!

Would do it all over again, the cerclage saved my pregnancy!!

Because you already know you will be getting the cerclage next time around, it will be placed 12-16weeks. You should only be on bed rest for a few days after, if any! A cerclage placed early has a very high success rate

Was it 4 losses due to Incompetent cervix? I would look into the TAC for next pregnancy.

I have a cerclage and progesterone. Got it placed at 16 weeks. Has done a great job. I do not do a lot. But I am not on bed rest or anything. I do not work at this time.

With my daughter I also had a cerclage and was working. I had to quit at 22 weeks because even with the cerclage I started preterm labor. Was put on strict bed rest. Things settled down and had her at 39 weeks.
