How do you deal with your husband?

My husband obsesses over everything! We have to be somewhere a little over an hour and he was gonna get up early to wax his car. He changed his mind saying he just waxed it yesterday so he wasn't going to wax it today he wanted to sleep. Well long be hold he got up and decided to wax his car leaving him no time really to wax it. He makes us late anywhere we go. I don't know what to do. Every time I bring it up to him he gets mad at me saying it's his ocd he can't help it. Seriously?! That car does not need waxed every day. Any ideas on how to deal with this? He is starting to drive me nuts.

I kind of feel your pain! We're late every single time we go somewhere because my husband always decides he has to poop right when we're ready to leave (tmi? Lol). I've solved this by telling him that things begin a half an hour earlier than they really do. He never knows.

Waxing a car every day is not good for its paint. If he isn't washing it first, he is waxing all the dirt and grime into his paint and it will start scratching and peeling the clear protective coat and look flaky then the actual color coats will start flaking off.

He might not be helping his car by waxing it every day. Do you watch it being waxed? It's possible he's doing something else in the garage while waxing. If he actually has ocd he would have other things like counting steps, turning lights on and off and tapping the door frames of every room before entering/leaving. He needs to be talked to. It sounds like he's doing something else other than waxing his car.
My husband makes me late sometimes too. I try my best to keep him on schedule, but he can zone out and forget what time we need to leave. He will also get wrapped up in video games or suddenly have to poop. 90% of the time when we are late it doesn't matter (like a party or BBQ) but the 10% it does it drives me insane (like work or a movie) when I bring it up he usually stays on task/time for about a month or so, then it starts happening again lol!

My so will be late for his funeral, he's never on time for anything! I started telling him we have to be there 20/30 mins earlier than we have to so we get there on time, I've also put every clock in the house and his phone 10 mins ahead, it's working brilliantly the most he's been late is 5 mins (he was always 15 mins minimum). He needs to address the car situation though because it's not good for him or the car

If he does indeed have OCD, he truly may not be able to help it. It's a very real struggle for people that have it. As other's have suggested he may need medicine or therapy or both to help manage these behaviors. 
If he doesn't actually have OCD, then I suggest telling him things begin earlier than they do just to get him where you need to be on time. I do that with my bf if it's an early morning thing because he is not an early riser and we're always on time.

Some people literally can not help their ocd habbits on their own. He might need help. I lived with a boy friend with ocd and he needed therapy and medicine to cope with everyday life...
