34 and ttc

I'm 34 next month and just had a lap surgery in October for stage 3 endometriosis. For years I believed once I turned 30 I would not have kids at all. I divorced my ex husband at 32 after ten years together. Tha k fully never had children with him and the endometriosis was why. The man I'm with now wants a family but wants to wait 6 months to a year. If we wait more than 4 four minths the endometriosis will most likely come back making it more difficult to conceive. I told him it don't want another surgery and I'm four years past what I would have liked. Does anyone feel 34 is too old to have your first child? I feel it is now or never but I don't want to pressure him. I am stuck between a rock and hard place on this.
