Periods on the Implanon

Now, I know I'm a little paranoid, but for so many people, their periods are changed or made longer with the Implanon inserted. I'm mainly concerned because I just started my period (merry Christmas me) and I'm curious as to whether any women have positive stories of their periods being normal on the Implanon and not lasting 10+ days. My symptoms are all fairly normal on day one for my usual period, but I've only ever heard of extended; not shortened bleeding.
