Let's talk Mirena!

I am contemplating getting Mirena since the shot didn't work for me. I have done my research but now I want personal opinions from people who have Mirena. How has Mirena been for you? Any complications? How was the pain during and after insertion? How did you prepare for insertion? Is your sexual partner able to feel the strings or anything? How do you ease yourself from worrying about complications? What are your periods like? Have you gotten pregnant? Any other opinions or comments? All advice is very much appreciated!!
