Freaking out a little....

I'm 6 wks, have the flu and I had a fever today of 100.9. I looked up about it online and am now freaking out that I will miscarry again or that I have harmed my baby and it will have serious birth defects. Has anyone else been in this situation?

I have 2 weeks till my first appointment but want to try to get seen by my ob sooner (went to normal dr today). My husband says I should just wait that if something is going to happen going in sooner won't change anything. I don't know what to do and am so worried.
