What should I do?

So my best friends bother asked me out and we know nothing about each other and everyone says that we are the same person but in different genders, he is really nice and sweet and he compliments me and tells me he loves me, but I don't know if I should date some one that I feel I don't know anything about and just get to know each other along the way or if I should just wait for a better time to date him.
