What's the first thing you bought for your baby/babies?

I found this question in a Baby book my doctor gave me - What's the first thing you bought your baby?

Disclaimer: We've bought nothing for them,  just added stuff to a Registry.

My husband did replace his theater speakers with in-wall speakers so we have no risk of them getting knocked over and he bought cameras to install in the room for motion detection notification (yeah,  he's a techie).

I've bought a belly band and maternity jeans that are the most comfortable things on Earth. I don't think we will buy anything else besides diapers until we know the sexes.

The first big item we bought was the car seat because I found the one I wanted on sale when I was just like 9 weeks pregnant. However, his first baby item was actually a onesie that by best friend bought for me at just 6 weeks that says, "I literally just pooped my pants". She thought it was perfect because it is gender neutral 😂

I did also get some receiving blamkets, a wicked good deal in wipes, a crib fitted sheet.

A car seat. I found the one I wanted on sale at 11 weeks and couldn't pass it up. Finally got install it in the car last week!

I just started buying gender neutral clothes that were on sale before I was even pregnant. Started about 6 months before? Now that I just found out I'm 5 weeks along it is a huge relief to have a decent sized collection already. (:

I bought a carseat, a bassinet, a swing and a bouncer, a bunch of swaddlers/burp blankets, a rearview mirror, all my breastfeeding accessories, bottles, a carrier, waterproof mattress pads for a crib and for our bed, fuzzy seatbelt cover straps for the carseat, diapers, wipes, baby bath supplies, a white noise machine and some toys for when baby learns to crawl and stand.
Everything there is gender neutral and we've been slowly buying so it's not just one giant bill at the end of my pregnancy. All the clothing, decor, crib sets, ect. will wait until after we find out the gender. Starting early also allowed us to find some amazing sales, and get some of the stuff barely used second hand. :)

First thing I bought was onesies an that was after my first ultrasound at 9 weeks, I didn't want to get anything big until I knew the gender. After I found the gender out I went crazy lol
