Does love really conquer all?

When you're madly, passionately in love with someone who you know is no good for you. Whose priorities, values, and goals don't align with yours at all. But you'd do anything for that person, and spending time with them makes you feel true passion. The thought of losing them makes you physically sick. Does love conquer all, when you're madly, stupidly in love?

I can't say for sure, but it sounds like your relationship is relatively new (or still in the honeymoon stage). Love is ultimately an action. You need to make the choice to continue to love. Once you are out of that high, if your priorities/morals/goals don't match up - your ability to love unconditionally will become near impossible. So no, love does not conquer all because it takes work to love the way you should in a relationship. Your want and motivation to love will ultimately dwindle. I have been in this type of relationship. Once the honeymoon stage ended, it all went REALLY down hill. I held on to what once was, and when in all reality there was no true connection there from the beginning. But, I found the man that matched up with my morals/goals and once the honeymoon stage ended with him, although the real work in the relationship began...every ounce of effort to show him I truly love and respect him was always worth it to me because I knew we were a good match for each other. And he is the best husband and father to my child that I could ask for :) You'll find the right person, don't worry!

No. No it does not.. As someone who was in this situation its never enough. You can always love someone from a distance. And ultimately I found someone who was way better for me and way better to me. When I stepped back I seen how much I was really being held back n that's no life to live

No. Marriage and a happy life are about more than crazy passionate love. You need to have the same life goals and priorities and you really need to have patience and be willing to compromise. Marriage is work and love is not the only glue that holds it together. I think it's just a base.
