Do you feel sorry for women who choose to stay with a cheater and it backfires on them?

I've seen a few posts where women have stayed with their partners even though they've cheated once (or numerous times) and now are on this app asking for help because it's happened again. Women on here tend to give them the hard cold truth of "why are you still with him?".
So I wanted to know what your opinion on this matter was? Do you feel sorry for them or do you think it's their fault for staying with a cheater?

I feel sorry that they feel that they can't get out. I was with someone for 18 months that cheated on me repeatedly, but my confidence was so low that I stayed through it all. They made sure I couldn't live without them.. And that's why I feel bad for them.

You're never responsible for someone else's actions. If someone cheats on you, that is their decision alone.

It depends on the situation but honestly how can I judge someone's life when I'm not living it?

I don't know the whole story. I don't know the situation or cicumstances. If a person wants to stay with their spouse and attempt to repair the relationships who I am I to tell them otherwise? Who am I to mock them when they already feel embarrassed and defeated?

I've never met or heard of someone cheating just once. Personally I feel like if they do it once and feel they "got away with it" they're bound to do it again. For clarity I said I've never heard or known of anyone doing it once, not saying that there's someone out there who hasn't. To me if it happens once it'll happen again so get out and leave with your dignity before everyone starts looking at you with pity.

Sometimes I do.  I mean, sometimes, people do change with a second chance, and the women who give that second chance shouldn't be looked down upon for having a little more faith in humanity and the goodness of people.  They genuinely try to communicate with their partner and resolve the underlying issues first.

On the other hand, some of themliterally seem like they're staying just so they can be in the center of their own straight-to-video drama. I do not feel sorry for them, because they never tried to work things out in the first place, they just like complaining about it.

Yes I do!! Emotional abuse and manipulation are real. It doesn't matter how many times someone cheated, THEY will always be in the wrong and not the other person. You can't blame someone for being the victim, even if "you believe" they had a chance to get out of the situation.

When you truly love someone you believe that they will stop doing it for you.  Sometimes people are jerks and take advantage.  It's hard to leave someone you love for a mistake even if it's not the first.  I would kill my husband if he ever cheated but I do not know if I could leave him.  I would want to believe he can change

Not unless they are staying or continually going back because they are manipulated. If they go back because this cheater also adds in emotional and mental abuse, convincing said person to go back or stay, then of course I feel bad.

Now, if that is not present and you just go back because you're stupid, then yeah, I don't feel sorry for you at all.
