Paid time off during AF 😂😂😂

A company says it is offering paid time off for women while on their AF. This time would not be taken out of their sick leave. Personally I think it's ridiculous. I understand there are some women who deal with dibilitating period pain, but I think they should be treated like any other employee with chronic pain. What do you all think?
