Heart was broken last night

The man I thought I would have a future with broke my heart last night after he confessed that he couldn't invest enough effort into our relationship. They were only 4 months but those months allowed me and granted me the blessing to grow with him and see him as the man that brought me so much happiness and love. It breaks my heart that it came to that but I wish him nothing but the best in finding his happiness. Maybe when our paths bring us back together again, we can be happy together.
