Hemorrhoids!

So I have had hemorrhoids for some time now and I have never went to the doctor or anything because I am to embarrassed and I can just deal with it. I do have some questions though. Is it normal for them to bleed? And I was also told you are supposed to push them in, is that true? What are some tips about dealing with them?
