A CBC would show your glucose levels which is always the first step before the a1c, it will also give you results on your iron levels which is the anemia indicator! A lipid panel checks everything that has to do with cholesterol!

A lipid panel wouldn't test for anemia or diabetes. You need an A1C to test for diabetes. I think anemia would be covered with the cbc.

A1C results will check for diabetes. It's basically a 3-month bloodsugar average. This is included in general bloodwork as far as I've experienced.
