Once a cheater always a cheater?

I just found out my boyfriend cheated on his ex wife when they were married. He always told me he hadn't. So I was lied to at first, and now I know he is capable of cheating and it's making me nervous.

In my experience, if they've cheated once, they are capable of doing it again. But that's between you and him and the trust you've built together. Every situation is different

To me the real question is trust. A relationship without trust is useless. Some people change some don't.  You deserve more. If you ask me. If you gave loyalty and got that in return. Someone would be my ex real quick.
