I went to the doctor so I can start using the IUD but they told me that my uterus is way too small for that... Is that right? What complications can I have? Y what another method that doesn't have a lot of hormones can I use?

Yeah, if your uterus is too small, it can lead to infection and PID. Mine was as well. And then I had a baby and that fixed that!

If you have never been pregnant before an IUD can be very uncomfortable because your uterus has never been stretched. 
I had been pregnant and miscarried at 8 weeks, and then got the IUD. It was pretty uncomfortable in certain positions and during sex if my boyfriend hit my cervix I could feel it. 
It all depends on the person. Nuvaring was a good alternative for me. Just put it in once a month. Couldn't feel it and never noticed it.

I have always taken pills. But I had to switch to low dose because the hormones were too much for me. You could try that.
