Am I just being emotional?

Question

Before I fell pregnant my BF & I had spoken about getting engaged this year, so I found out I was pregnant 1 March (due 13 Nov) and now he's just told me he doesn't want to get engaged while I'm pregnant because other people will talk and say that is the only reason he popped the question... 
I just feel very disappointed and let down and like it's just never going to happen... or am I just being overly emotional?

It shouldn't matter what other people think. As long as it's special for you both that's all that matters. Have you expressed that to him?

I get what he's saying. However I would also like to have that ring on my finger while I'm pregnant... It shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks. He could do it much later and people may not relate it to the pregnancy. It's not like your rushing out and eloping right?? Lol
