I don't understand guys!

So, there's this guy that expressed he was interested in me. At first I wasn't going to give him the time of day, but I changed my mind. So, I texted him and the conversation was boring. A week went by I texted again (got no response) so he texted me today and said he went out of town and left his phone. 😐 bullshit right?! So I felt like I was forcing the conversation so I said it's okay if you don't wanna talk (because I need you to be able to converse) and he stopped texting. I'm thinking I should leave him where he's at right?
