I love the name August but my fiancé thinks it's ugly cause in Spanish it translates to Agosto and it sounds too manly to him. Do you think Augustine is a better alternative? Does it sound more girly?

If they are Spanish then yes they would translate the name...I think Augustina is very pretty Augustina Marie

I think Augustine sounds more masculine- it makes me think of St. Augustine. Both are masculine names but I think August would suit a female better. Maybe even Augustina? And honestly, who cares what the word 'August' translates to in Spanish? You don't typically translate someone's name.
