End of first trimester?

My doctor says that once I hit 13 weeks im in my second trimester but I keep seeing on different forums that others are saying 14 weeks is the beginning of the second trimester. I should go by my doctor, right?

Well technically each trimester should be 3 months/12 weeks. So 13 would be second trimester.

I always thought week 12 was the last week of your first tri and week 13 marked the start of second tri but everything I've been reading on the net says week 14 is the start of second tri... So idk
