Recently reading this article I was shocked that woman could be treated like this in 2016!! Thoughts?

Abusive situations are everywhere. I thought only the odd person was beaten by her so in Canada. I lived in this happy little idealism that I didn't realize was a reality. Then I moved. It was a nice apartment building I moved into. I met a sweet couple with a baby on the one side. An older couple, a couple into drugs and a couple in their 30's down below. What did all those women have in common? They all were being physically abused by their husbands or SO's. On the surface you see happy looking seeming in love couples. But frequently all were injured. I helped one who went back to him over and over. She's finally separated now. 3/4 of those men were white. It's not just Pakistani men.

Western world feminism is not intersectional with most of the world. 
Unfortunately, Pakistan is a 3rd world country that still heavily relies on religion to govern. But these non-western world feminist issues exists everywhere, take China for example and their ever growing population of abandoned daughters and homeless children.

I wish that we could look at these places and say "this is wrong, this is certainly not right", but in doing that you run the risk of introducing ethnocentricity, which is also very wrong.

We cannot impose all of our western values on non-western countries, in the same sense that they cannot do the same to us. I hate to see women being beaten, but please don't speak on this issue as if we're discussing barbarians. They are their own culture with their own values, and you may not understand them, but don't do this.

Things happen in other countries. . 
In Mexico you'll find dead people on the street and cops don't even care.. 
I don't see why ur in shock. It'd be shocking if they allowed this here. 
Anyways.. This has always been around with middle Easter men, as well as most Hispanic men, they usually always beat their wives.
