Why Do People HATE Kids?

Question

I totally get why people do not want to have kids, because that's their choice. But I see so many people on this page talking about how they hate kids and think it's wrong that people have more than 2 children. Why hate kids? Totally curious as to this.

I don't hate kids. I hate loud, obnoxious, undisciplined brats who have clearly never been parented.

My childhood best friend has NEVER liked kids and yet just recently found out she's pregnant. You would have thought her having a baby was the end of the world. She cried for days and entered a serious depression, but doesn't feel like she could mentally handle an abortion. She's now 19 weeks and is trying to remain optimistic for her boyfriend. He wants this baby and yet she doesn't feel like she'll have any desire when it arrives. She told me "She's ruining her body for a child she has no connection to". It's so sad to see. She feels like her future plans are now ruined and that she's now going to spend the rest of her life slaving away for something she never wanted.

With this being said, I feel like kids are not for everyone. Some women just don't have that maternal instinct so they shy away from them. Not because they really hate them, but because they choose its not for them. There are some people who don't want children, and quite frankly don't need them, and that's okay. But hating children is when people have some serious issues, I think.

I personally dislike children. I don't have the patience for them, I'm easily annoyed, and I have an extreme phobia of vomiting so infants aren't for me. Am I openly against children and shun them? HELL NO. I was at an event this weekend and children asked for photos with me, of course I'll take one with you and we will be badass! But would I have kids of my own or would I babysit? No.. Those who want children go ahead! Procreate! That's awesome and I hope life is great for you and your kids ☺️ I will stick with a child free life and occasionally help out if you need it 😉

Hate is a strong word but I don't particularly like other people's kids when they are a stranger. I'm not one of these who get broody over a random baby or toddler. Tons of times I've been in the lift at work and everyone is staring at a child and fussing them apart from me, I find it odd people do this and I wouldn't want everyone staring at my future children like that 😕 I just don't find random children/babies cute in the slightest 😕. I can't wait to have my own though

I only dislike the children who aren't controlled by their parents in public.
I totally understand a meltdown in target because they are little and probably need a nap but then there are the kids who are ripping toys off shelves and running around unsupervised that I dislike.

If you can't raise your kids to act appropriately in public you need to rethink your parenting methods. Most of the time when I dislike the children's it's because of their parents lack of parenting.

I'm not a fan of other people's kids. But mostly when they misbehave. The sound of other people's kids crying and kicking up annoys me. I dread seen my friend coming with her 2 year old. The other day he wiped the bottle of out my hand as I was feeding my one month old. That was before he climbed into her swing chair and broke it and that was after he put his chocolate hands in my brand new pram. Oh and he tried to hit her in the head with her little hair brush. My other friend on the other hand has 2 boys who are lovely kids and an absolute pleasure to be around. They love my baby and just look at her and tell me to shh. I think if the children are well behaved then it's hard to "hate" (very strong emotion to have towards a child. Dislike fits better) them. But you can hate the idea of being a parent and that's ok. Every person is different.

Well, I guess I'm a psycho then. I just had my third child, and promptly then had my tubes tied. I always wanted three and all were perfectly planned little wonders. All boys. My
Life is chaos, but it's beautiful loud music. We also financially provide just fine without any help. Our children get what they need.

Children though are NOT for everyone. Not nearly. Kids take a shit load of patience and constant around the clock direction. It's teaching without pay to little kids who do their best to outwit you. Children push boundaries with their parents more than anyone. They don't know how to handle their emotions, their tempers, or basic rules of society! I can see why people would find children frustrating. But they teach us so much more than we teach them because they aren't yet pigeonholed into mainstream. Brilliant little wild things seeing the world in more colors than I know! Life of chaos since all mine are under 5, but I sure do love it!

The same reasons to hate adults probably. They can be noisy, loud, obnoxious, and rude. Children are typically more likely to be sticky and smell foul though 😋

As for the children +2 I'll agree that something needs to be done about our severe over population, but shaming people doesn't accomplish anything.

I dont like other ppls kids bc im like control ur gremlin... My kids are not angels but we got an understanding sooooo... I love my kids but keep ur child at bay😘😘😘
