Mucus plug?

Sorry if tmi, no pic though 👍🏻

Today i had period like cramps, the one that starts in lower back, goes down abdomen and legs, they were coming and going but i thought they were braxton hicks. Anyway, suddenly i felt like my i had my period! Sorry for the describing this awful feeling 😅 but i was outside with no near toilet, later on i arrived home and checked, i had a discharge that looks like egg white 😷 it wasn't a lot but definitely not my normal/daily discharge, and it was still looking fresh and sticky even though that was like 2 hours after having the discharge (ew!), 

My question is, could it be the start of my mucus plug? Or it is just normal pregnant discharges?
