Can BH false labor contractions be painful?

I am getting mild pain in my abdomen and I can't tell if it's baby moving, BHicks, or some other pregnancy thing. New today, never felt before.

YES! I hate BH article's because each and every one states that the contractions are NOT painful, um yes they are MOST definitely painful. Im 38+2 & been having BH contractions since I was 13 weeks. They used to be ok, like light period cramps but the closer I got to my due date the WORSE they became. I honestly felt like I was in labor 5 times throughout my pregnancy, thats how bad they got for me!

Hell yeah they can! Went through a week of them, consistent and every 5 minutes before I actually went into labor.

I have had BH since I was 16 weeks or so. As further along I got, the more painful they have become. Last week they were so regular that the hospital kept me overnight. I wasn't making any changes (except for when I initially got there) so 10 hours later they sent me home. Some of my BH can be every 10 to 15 minutes apart but then they stop. Good luck to you!

Depends on how far along you are, if you are having the pain consistently, if you are dialating etc. It's so hard to tell without being seen by your Dr and knowing certain details. :) Have you lost your mucus plug?

Yes!! They can be. 3 weeks ago I had 2 hours of them. I timed them and they were clearly only Braxton hicks. Asked my doc about it and she said some people don't notice them ( I didn't notice with my first) but this pregnancy they are intense! Hang in there!

I'm 37 weeks. Within the past week plus I've had 2 days where I had a good lengthy Braxton hicks. First time was for about an hour.. water helped ease it but still hurt like hell. Then I had it again just walking down the driveway from my parents house and for the next 10 minutes after... I was in so much pain I couldn't move. Waited for it to subside.. drank water have been okay since *knock wood*

Yes they are painful but not as bad as real ones. They are farther apart than the real ones

Well real contractions aren't mild. Could be braxton hicks+pressure of babies head x
