Advice please!!

I've been an emotional wreck since I seen my husband's message to his ex wife. I love him but it's hurting really bad that he thinks so highly of her! I've made bad choices while being married, well separated. I had an affair because I thought I want in love with him and wanted to find someone that did love me. He isn't a " lovely" person, and he doesn't  pity the pity. So I'm just here my brain will not sure off from those messages..
