Drinking age in America. Ridiculous?

I'm a flight attendant, and recently went to San Diego, I got turned away from so many bars for being under 21 when I just wanted to go in and eat. I just think it's really silly to have such a high drinking age! Learn to drink younger then you're less likely to fuck up when you're an adult. I can evacuate a Jumbo Jet, deliver a baby and use a defibrillator, yet I can't have a cocktail 😂😂

I escaped the drinking age for America when I was 17. I traveled to Germany and was able to purchase alcohol and go into bars. However, there was a huge difference between teen drinking there and in America. I learned that because they are opened up to beer and liquor so early they know how to handle it better so they do not get flat out watered in an hour, but instead enjoy their time and drink and be a little tipsy, but know full well what they are doing the whole time. My friends always help me stay healthy while I'm drinking, and it was way more fun than when I was back in America getting drunk so quick. Honestly I learned a lot from an earlier drinking age group of friends.

I like that we are trusted to drive a vehicle at 16, able to enlist and possibly even be drafted into the military (and possibly die/get injured) at 18, can vote at 18, can sign for an apartment at 18....yet can't drink a glass of wine until 21? Ridiculous lol 🙄
