Shaving down there

Hey y'all. I shave down there because it bothers me if I don't plus sometimes my panty liners will pull on a hair. I shave down there once a week but would love some tips on how to do it very well without bleeding. I usually don't cut myself but sometimes it happens. I shave going in the direction of the hair but always seems to be stubbly. I don't want any stubble. How can I get a closer shave without irritating my skin down there too much?
