TTC for over a year

Hi everyone my name is Ricketta and my fiancé and I have been TTC for a year now and no luck😔 at one point in time I was having really bad cycles. I would cramp really bad and my doctor thought I had endometriosis. I got a laparoscopy and everything came back normal(thank god) my doctor checked to see if my tubes were blocked and they weren't. I have a regular cycle and I ovulate every month but for some reason I'm still not having any luck getting pregnant, but I did notice that every month the week after my period I would have really sharp pains on my right abdomen. I googled it and it said it could be ovulation pains but the pains are unbearable. Is any one else experiencing these pains? My boyfriend is normal and he has kids of his own from a previous relationship so I know nothing is wrong with him. I just really would like to know is there anything I can do to improve my chances of getting pregnant. My doctor wants me to continue TTC for a year before taking further actions but I'm beginning to grow impatient. I just really want to know right now why this is not working for me and what I could do to get my BFP!!!
