Take some you time to re-focus and re-ground yourself. My brother went on the rebound after his gf of 6 years broke it off. He started dating and having sex with a girl he hardly knew (but they had good mutual friends). Turns out she purposely used him to get pregnant in hopes that he'd marry her, because she wanted to get out of her mom's house, and because she thought my brother was hot enough and stable enough to make offspring with. He's a police officer, so if they got married, she'd have access to half of his pension if/when they divorced. Thankfully, he saw text messages popping up on her phone between her and her ex bf saying I love you to each other. That was when she was 8 months. Now we're waiting till the baby is born next week to see if the child is in fact my brother's or her ex's.

Moral of the story: DON'T REBOUND AND HAVE SEX BEFORE YOU ARE 100% CERTAIN YOU KNOW THE PERSON!!! Also, condoms are God's gift to man! Use them! Love them!

I just "broke up" with someone I "almost dated" for 7 years 🙄🙄🙄🙄 (but that's another story). My mom keeps telling me to notice other guys but I'm just not ready yet. He was 7 years of my life and it was an intense and emotional relationship. I need time. The split was pretty out of the blue too and when I think about my future I still see him (which I know is wrong) but I just need time. Time heals all wounds. ✌🏻️

I think that is just a pattern of needing to be in a relationship. A lot of times rushing into sleeping with someone bc you just got out of a relationship ends in more of a disaster than it does help the situation.

I haven't been with my first love since I was 18 and I'm 35. I still am not over that man. I loved him so much. And I'm married and have kids now. I don't even know where he is. But I still think of him at times and miss him. So for me telling me that there's other fish in the sea etc didn't totally work for me. I mean I moved on with my life. But a part of my heart will always be his. I even named my daughter after him. I'll never forget what a good man he was. I'm just glad my husband understands and has never gotten mad about it.
