Sex helping with dilation/cervix?

Did sex help anyone dilate or their cervix thinned out? I'm 38 weeks and I'm hoping I don't go overdue again like I did with my first. Me and BF did things today (after so many failed attempts lol) and were successful.

I think it helped me so far. I had sex over about a week ago (36 weeks) and I was 1cm and we had sex 3 days ago and I had a checkup yesterday and I'm now 3cm (37 weeks tomorrow) so idk if it helped or what lol.

I'm 38 weeks today and I don't want this pregnancy to go overdue like my first as well. My second was 3 weeks early. This one seems to be stubborn. 
I've tried sex for a while. It's the semen that softens the cervix. I was just checked last week not even softened or dilated

I'm 37 weeks and was checked last week for dilation and I'm not dilated any at all. This is my first I think I'll go overdue. Do you think since I'm not dilated any he will be overdue??

With my first pregnancy when I was 37 weeks, my husband and I had crazy sex and he came in me at 9pm and my water broke that night at 4am. The baby was really small and had a few weeks issues. So this time around, we are avoiding the sex so that baby cooks a little longer.
