Nanny to mommyhood, also miscarriage

Hey, so I'm a nanny and know that it's no where near being a mommy, but I've been able to experience a lot of firsts and have left work crying or laughing many times (thankfully the laughing is the more common occurrence).
.
I was wondering if there's any nannies out there that became mommies soonafter. My husband and I are considering trying soon, and I know mommyhood is a lot more work, but I'm having a hard time trying to comprehend the emotion of it all. I feel very attached to the little one I nanny (over a year and a half of nannying) but I still feel detached (which is good for a nanny, since it's my profession) but sometimes I worry if that detachment will happen with my babies too. I'm sure it's irrational to think that way, and maybe I'll just KNOW once I have one of my own. Maybe it's also because before I started nannying I had an unplanned pregnancy at completely the wrong time that ended in a miscarriage, so I felt really guilty that I didn't really spend much time wanting the only baby I've had until I had to mourn them.
.
Advice from any mommies could help. I'm just worried about how it'll turn out.
