I don't know what I'm going to do...

Alesia
As the title states... I've worked as a seasonal temporary full-time employee for a corporate insurance company for a little over a year now. My princess is due next month, so naturally I figured I would start getting my FMLA set up. Now since I am not a full time salaried employee I do not get the paid maternity leave benefits, health insurance, PTO, or disability insurance. But, after a year and/or working 1250 hours I should qualify for FMLA... Well I found out today that apparently I haven't worked enough hours (they are claiming I only work part-time) when I work full-time hours, to qualify for FMLA and are telling me they are willing to give me 4 weeks unpaid leave and that's it. I don't know what to do, but I feel like I'm getting pulled under the bus here. Literally in tears because this is not fair. Does anyone else have experience with this or know what to do. I'm considering calling the Department of Labor tomorrow.
I also want to mention that 2 weeks ago I was pulled into my bosses office and was given a choice to be demoted back to the call center or go to another software development team that is very inconvenient to get to, and secludes employees from the rest of the department. Might I mention they send all the people that have some sort of medical issue to this team :(
